     Shea Edwards affectionately known as Shay LaVaughn is a passionate Christian, wife, mother, saxophonist, inspirational speaker, and educator who empowers women and teens through her heartfelt messages of love, forgiveness, and resilience. With over two decades of experience in teaching and motivational speaking, Shea passionately believes in the transformative power of worshiping Christ, guiding individuals to deepen their connection with the Lord. Her insightful perspectives inspire women to transcend their past mistakes and disappointments, emphasizing that true fulfillment arises when passion and failure converge with purpose. 

Shea's journey is marked by overcoming significant adversity, including eleven years spent in an abusive cult, from which she emerged through the unconditional love of Christ. This experience catalyzed her mental, emotional, and spiritual healing, laying the groundwork for her career as an inspirational speaker. Based in Dallas, TX, she shares her story at churches, conferences, and schools, inspiring diverse audiences with her testimony. 

In addition to her speaking engagements, Shea elevates worship services with her saxophone, creating an atmosphere of spiritual connection and adoration. Often found praising in parks or worshiping by the water, she invites listeners to experience God in transformative ways through her melodic sound. As she embarks on her writing journey, Shea is preparing to release her first book, "Delivered From The Mind of A Concubine," which reflects her faith and personal journey.

Balancing her roles as a schoolteacher by day and a full-time doctoral student by night, Shea also enjoys watching action movies, playing air hockey, and planning new adventures with her family during her downtime.
